1Hz to 1MHz Function Generator XR2206 - DIY Self-assembly Kit
A simple function generator, which is a Do-It-Yourself kit for self-assembly, is based on XR2206 chip. The whole thing is closed in a transparent, aesthetic casing made of plexiglass. Signal is generated in the frequency range from 1Hz to 1MHz. The amplitude of the output signals from 0-3V is for sinusoidal and triangular signals, and 3V for a square signal. The amplitude for the square wave signal cannot be adjusted.
Dedicated to beginner electronics, electronics amateurs and professionals who are looking for a cheap and simple functional generator for home applications.
Technical data
Generator based on the XR2206 chip
Frequency range: 1 Hz to 1 MHz
Potentiometer to adjust the output amplitude
Power supply (DC-Jack socket): 9-12 V
Signal output:
GND - initial ground
SQR - square wave output
SIN / Tri - sinusoidal or triangular signal output
Connector:
J1: to select the range of generated frequencies (frequency ranges are printed on the housing)
J2: It is used to select the type of waveform between Sine and Triangle
Potentiometers:
AMP - to adjust the output amplitude value for the SIN / Tri output
Fine - for fine adjustment of the output frequency
Coar - for coarse adjustment of the output frequency
Note: No overvoltage protection and no reverse polarity protection - wrong connection will damage the generator.
