20-Pulse Rotary Encoder EC11 - with Push Button - D-Shaft
Rotary Encoder - is a transducer that converts rotary motion into electrical impulses. The digital signal makes the encoder very easy to use.
It can be used, for example, to control devices via a microcontroller or as a digital potentiometer. The digital potentiometer serves, for example, as a voltage or volume regulator, there is no limited angle of rotation and the digital signal (0, 1) is very convenient and easy to read.
By connecting the encoder, e.g. to the Arduino Uno microcontroller, you can count the signals from two output pins (A and B), where e.g. the output of pin A from the encoder will increase the value and pin B would decrease it.
Due to the fact that the encoder is multi-rotary, wide ranges can be manipulated.
