5A DC 9-36V to DC 5V Step-Down Voltage Converter with USB-A Output - XY-3606

Hi Danny,
it looks like the converter you bought may be not powerful enough to power your router.
The GL.003.641 is twice that powerful (5A instead of 2.5A) but to be sure, you would need to check the rated power consumption of the router and add min. 20 per cent of reserve. For ex., if the device requires 4A, the converter you need must provide with min. 5A. Also mind that these converters, when operate close to their maximum power, require good cooling - must have proper ventilation provided and even require a heat sink.
