Application:

Due to its thermodynamic properties, ammonia is used as a refrigerant (R717), especially in large refrigeration devices.

Ammonia water is used as an ingredient of smelling salts to restore consciousness in people who have fainted.

Ammonia water is also used in the rubber, glass and tanning industries (for the production of gelatin), in the production of dyes and organic semi-finished products. Moreover, ammonia water is used as an artificial fertilizer and a pH regulator.

It is also used in medicine and pharmacy, among others. as a component of a liquid (together with iodine) for the treatment of halluxes.
