BF350 High Precision Resistive Strain Gauge Beam - Tension Sensor
The most commonly used type of strain gauges are resistance strain gauges, which change their resistance with the change of dimensions. Due to their construction, resistance strain gauges are distinguished: snake, zigzag, grid, foil.
Electric resistance strain gauges are distinguished by good accuracy and sensitivity of strain measurements of the tested sample. The distance of the tested sample from the strain gauge foil can be large in the case of electric strain gauges, which also allows for measurement in many measuring locations for the material stresses of the tested system. Thanks to the very low value of the inertia parameter of the measuring system, electro-resistance strain gauges are great for testing fast-changing strains.
