CP2102 USB - RS232 / TTL / UART Converter - 3.3V / 5V Logic
The module is based on the CP2102 chip, works with 3.3 and 5V devices. The converter is used in places where serial port is used for communication, that is: GPS, GSM, Arduino systems, routers, decoders, etc. The converter is also used for programming some microcontrollers, eg Arduino mini.
Technical data
Chip: CP2102
Connector: USB A
Derived signals on the goldpin header connector: TX, RX, DTR, CTS, GND, VCC
LED indicating power supply to the system.
LED diode signaling sending TX data
LED signaling receiving RX data
Derived voltage on pin VCC: 5V
Logic level of RX, TX, DTR signals - 3.3V / the system tolerates 5V, so you can directly connect, for example, with systems such as ARDUINO /
Supported in systems: Windows XP / Server 2003 / Vista / 7/8 / 8.1 / 10 / WinCE / Macintosh OSX / Linux / Android
Procedure for using the converter with Arduino and similar systems
If you want to use the converter to upload a program to Arduino or similar systems, you should restart the entire external system immediately after compiling (and at the beginning of uploading) (the reset button on the Arduino PCB). This is how the programming sequence is defined, if the microcontroller is not restarted, the program may not be loaded.
