High-Voltage Electromagnetic Gun - DIY Kit
This kit works by using force generated by electromagnetic field to accelerate a metal projectile. The completed science project is less powerful and suitable for use as a model in schools and homeschooling. This is really a good DIY electrical kit, you will be more familiar with electronic components and learn more interesting knowledge of electronics. This is a kit worth having, the process of making it is fascinating and fun when it is finished. The DIY kit is used to mount to a fun mini push game kit that can throw small and medium cylindrical metal in a short distance.
Pay Attention:
- Do not touch the metal parts with your hands when it is energized. The finished project is a device that works under high voltage. Although the energy is small, and the insulating plastic shell helps its safety.
- Please discharge the energy storage capacitor before troubleshooting. Please refer to user the manual for detailed discharge operation.
- Children under the age of 14 need to be installed and used it under the supervision of an adult.
Tips For Use:
- After repeated launching several times, the range becomes shorter or unable to launch. You need to wait another 2-3 minutes, and it can launch again after the capacitor is fully charged.
- Relax as soon as possible after pressing the launch button. If you keep pressing the button, the battery will consume more power.
SHOOTING STEPS OF THE FINISHED PROJECT
- Toggle the power switch, the green LED lights up, and the circuit starts to charge the capacitor. The red diode will light up slightly after waiting for 2-3 minutes, the energy storage capacitor is fully charged.
- Put in the cylindrical metal rod from the rear end of the plastic tube, and its tail should be flush with the tail of the tube. You can try to place the cylindrical metal rod in different positions to achieve the longest launch distance.
- Press the launch button (red button), the metal rod will fly out, and the launch is complete.
