The IR barrier - photocell for gates - are infrared (IR) light sensors, which allow you to easily detect motion.

The transmitter and receiver together form an invisible barrier. When a human, animal or vehicle crosses the infrared, invisible light beam between the barrier elements, a digital signal is sent to the control unit.

They work on the emitter side, which sends a beam of infrared light that is invisible to humans, and then the receiver on the other side, which is sensitive to the same light. When something passes between them and is not transparent to IR, then "the beam is interrupted" and the receiver will inform about it.

The sensitivity and detection distance may be influenced by many factors, including atmospheric factors such as: rain, fog, dew point, etc.

It is intended for external and internal use.
