PCA9685 Module - 16-channel PWM Servo Controller - DIY KIT - for Self-soldering
16-channel generator in a self-assembly version, enabling, among others: servo control, motor speed adjustment or changing the brightness of LEDs. Communication via I2C, it works with voltages of 5V and 3.3V.
Technical data
Chip: PCA9685
Module supply voltage, logical part: 3-5V
Module supply voltage, part of the servos: max 6V
The operating voltage range of the I2C interface: 3-5V
PWM signal resolution: 12-bit
PWM signal frequency: adjustable in the range of 40 Hz - 1000 Hz.
Push-pull or open-drain digital outputs.
Built-in 220 Ω resistors are connected in series in the output circuits, so you can directly control the LEDs.
LED indicating the presence of power
Built-in clock resonator, thanks to which the system does not need to constantly receive signal from the microcontroller.
Jumpers for selecting I2C addresses
Module dimensions: 62x25mm
The module is compatible with ARDUINO systems
Pinout
GND - power ground
OE - indicating high status, it will disconnect all outputs
SCL - clock line of the I2C bus
SDA- data line of the I2C bus
VCC - 3-5V logic power supply
V + - servo power supply, max 6V
The module has a place for soldering a capacitor, if there was a need to eliminate interference generated by the load (servos, motors).
There are many examples, diagrams and software codes for the use of the module available on the Internet.
