Soil Moisture Hygrometer Sensor Arduino
The soil hygrometer is used to monitor soil moisture, so you can use it to help grow plants, herbs or other trees that require special care from the grower, devote a lot of attention, or simply relieve the caregiver. This sensor can significantly facilitate the work of plant care, but most importantly, connected to a properly programmed microcontroller, it will take care of plants like no other and will monitor soil moisture on an ongoing basis. Thanks to the digital and analog outputs, the user can select and adjust the sensor to the given needs.
The digital output changes the level 1 or 0 depending on the threshold set by the potentiometer installed on the system. The analog output sends values from 0 to 5V depending on soil moisture, which is a convenient solution if the user wants to obtain high measurement accuracy.
Specification:
The Soil Moisture Sensor Module is a simple circuit that compares the probe resistance to a predetermined value.
Water causes a drop in resistance between the probe tracks - which is read by the controller chip.
The controller has a potentiometer and a diode indicating the output status.
The module has two outputs: analog A0 and digital D0.
The O or 1 signal appears on the digital output, depending on the threshold setting with the potentiometer on the board.
The LED diode on the board indicates power supply and the module operating status.
