Thermal transfer paper allows you to make printed circuits on a PCB.
After designing your PCB in one of the many applications, you need to print the design on the paper on the slippery side (in a mirror image) using a laser printer. The pattern (printed side) is transferred to the laminate to the copper side and, using an iron, warmed up (the toner sticks to the copper under the influence of temperature). All that remains is to peel off the paper under water and start etching the laminate.
