Acetic Acid 80% - Pure - CH3COOH - 500 ml

Acetic acid is used in organic synthesis, for the production of rayon, medicines (aspirin), non-flammable film stock, chloroacetic acid, acetates, carboxymethyl cellulose, cellulose acetate, in heating technology for removing scale, in the form of a few percent solution (acetic fermentation product) as food vinegar for food preservation, as an ingredient of buffer solutions and many others. Very large amounts of acetic acid are used as a solvent in the refining of terephthalic acid, used for large-scale production of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET bottles). It is also used as a preservative. Its designation as a food additive is E260.
