TOF400C Laser Distance Ranging Sensor - VL53L1X - 400cm
ToF distance sensor module based on the VL53L1X chip. It integrates the SPAD (Single Photon Avalanche Diodes) matrix and FlightSense™ technology, which allows for absolute distance measurement regardless of the color and surface of the detected object. Thanks to the use of an IR transmitter emitting light at a wavelength of 940 nm and a set of filters, it offers a range of up to 400 cm with good resistance to interference from ambient light. The sensor has a dead zone in the range of 0 to 4 cm and a detection angle of 27°. The module also offers the ability to detect 1D gestures. VL53L1 communicates via the I2C interface, and the user has at their disposal a friendly and easy-to-use API (Application Programming Interface) available in C language. It will be used in applications for detecting the presence of objects and obstacles in both industrial robots and mobile structures.
