Application:
The module is necessary when you want your Arduino to act as a USB Host server, to connect a USB device to Arduino, such as a keyboard, mouse, flash drive, QR readers, barcode readers, etc.
Functionality:
The module allows you to save data on a flash drive along with the creation of a file system and save data to text files. Ideal when you want to log data collected from sensors connected to Arduino.
The heart of the board is the MAX3421 chip from Maxim which is connected via the SPI bus and via a female USB connector it is possible to exchange data with the devices.
